to Bowes Reed Brown} This Indenture made the thirteenth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty six Between Wilson Lambert & Sarah R his wife of the City of Rochester in the County of Monroe & State of New York of the one part and Bowes Reed Brown of Mount Holly in the County of Burlington and State of New Jersey of the other part Witnesseth that the said Wilson Lam bert and Sarah R his wife for and in consideration of the sum of fifteen hundred dollars to them in hand paid by the said Bowes Reed Brown at or immediately before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained and Sold aliened enfeoffed released conveyed and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain and sell alien enfeoff release convey and confirm unto the said Bowes Reed Brown his heirs and assigns |

All that lot of land Situate in Mount Holly aforesaid and bounded [a?] lows to wit Beginning at a stake on the Westwardly side of High [Street] in Mount Holly aforesaid & corner to Dorothea Ridgways lot & runs [th??] first along the said Street North twenty two degrees West one hundred and sixty two feet four inches to a stake by the gate post on the South side [of a] twelve feet Alley thence along the South side of said Alley South Sixty [seven] degrees and ten minutes West seven chains to a stake in Samuel J Reads [line] South twenty one degrees & thirty minutes East one hundred and fifty six feet [???] inches to a stake in said Reads line and corner to the said Dorthea Ridg ways lot thence North sixty seven degrees and forty minutes East [seven] chains and two links to the place of Beginning Containing one acre and [six] tenths of an acre of land be the same more or less a part of which said lot of [???] the said Sarah R Lambert became seized of in fee by virtue of a deed of [bar] ain and sale under the hands & seals of Samuel J Read, and Sarah his wife duly [execut] ed bearing date the tenth day of October in the year of our Lord one [thousand] eight hundred and eighteen and recorded in Book T 2 of deeds page 75 & [???] the Clerks Office of said County of Burlington and the remaining part thereof was conveyed to Mary Ridgway daughter of Dellaplaine [Ridgway] by the said Samuel J. Read & Sarah his wife by deed bearing even [date] with the before mentioned deed and recorded in Book T 2 of deeds [page] 76&s in the Clerks Office aforesaid which said Mary afterwards enter [marriage] with a certain Benjamin Starkey & did together with her said husband [conveyed] the same to the said Sarah R Lambert by deed dated the sixteenth day [of ] September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and [twenty] two & recorded in the Clerks Office aforesaid in Book T 2 of deeds page [???] Together with all and singular the fences improvements buildings [mines] erals roads Streets ways Alleys Springs waters water course rights liberties [privy] leges emoluments advantages easements hereditaments and appertain[ing] whatsoever to the said lot of land belonging or in anywise appertain[ing] or there withal used occupied or enjoyed or accepted reputed deemed or [to] as part parcel or member thereof and also all the estate right title interest [pro] perty possession claim or demand whatsoever of them the said Wilson Lamb[ert] & Sarah R his wife of either of them either at law or in equity of in [???] same and the reversions and remainders rents issues and profits thereof [To] have and to hold the said lot of land hereby granted released conveyed & [confirm] ed or meant mentioned and in tended so to be as above bounded and [described] with all and singular the hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belon[ging] unto the said Bowes Reed Brown his heirs and assigns to the only proper use benefit and behoof of the said Bowes Reed Brown his heirs & assigns forever [And] the said Wilson Lambert for himself his heirs executors and administrators do covenant promise grant and agree to and with the said Bowes Reed Brown his [heirs] and assigns by these presents in manner and form following that is to [say] that they the said Wilson Lambert & Sarah R his wife or one of them were and immediately before the ensealing and delivery of these presents [???] of and in the above described hereby intended to be granted lot of [land] and premises as of a good sure perfect and indefeasible estate of inheritan[ce] in the law in fee simple without any manner of condition or limitatio[n] & freely clearly and absolutely discharged of and from all mortgages [dem??] judgements executors recoguizances Jointures entails leases burthens [and] other incumbrances whatsoever - And that he the said Wilson Lambert [has] together with Sarah R his wife good right full power lawful and absol[ute] authority to grant bargain and Sell the same to the said Bowes Reed [Brown] his heirs and assigns in fee simple absolute in manner and form as is [al??] expressed - And Lastly that he the said Wilson Lambert and his heirs the [s???] above described hereby granted lot of land and premises in the quiet [and] peaceable possession of him the said Bowes Reed Brown his heirs |

assigns against the lawful claim and claims of all and every person and persons whom soever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents on Witness whereof the said Wilson Lambert and Sarah R his wife have to these presents set their hands and affixed their seals dated the day & year first before written [Signed] Sealed and delivered in the presence of } Wilson Lambert {seal} [Elias] B Cannon Amos Bullock } Sarah R Lambert {seal} [1836] October 13th Received of Bowes Reed Brown the sum of fifteen hund- red dollars in full of the consideration money in the above deed mentioned -Witness present Amos Bullock } Wilson Lambert {seal} } Sarah R Lambert {seal} The State of New Jersey Burlington County Ss: Be it remembered that on this thirteenth day of October in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and thirty six personally appeared before me the subscriber one of the masters of the Court of Chancery of the State of New Jersey Wil son Lambert & Sarah R his wife who I am satisfied are the grantors named in the aforewritten deed of conveyance and who the contents thereof being by me first made known to them acknowledged that they signed Sealed and delivered the same as their voluntary Act and deed for the uses & pur poses therein mentioned. She the said Sarah R being by me examined separate & apart from her said husband acknowledged that she signed sealed and delivered the same as her voluntary Act and deed freely without any fear threats or compulsion from her said husband Acknowledged before Elias B Cannon MCC [Know] all men by these presents that I Dorothy Ridgway widow and relict of Dillaplaine Ridgway late of the County of Burlington deceased in considera tion of the Sum of ten dollars to me in hand paid by Bowes Reed Brown the grantee in the aforegoing deed named at & before the execution of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have remised released & forever quit claimed and by these presents do remise release and forever quit claim unto the said Bowes Reed Brown and to his heirs and assigns all and all manner of dower which I now have or might or should of right have of in to or out of the lot of land by the aforesaid written deed con veyed or mentioned & intended so to be or its appurtenances or any part thereof And also all manner of actions writ & writs of dower whatsoever so that neither I nor any person for me or in my name any manner of dower or writ or Action of dower of or in the said lot of land or any part thereof at any time hereafter shall or may have claim or prosecute In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & affixed my seal this thirteenth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & thirty six [Signed] Sealed & delivered } [In] the presence of } Dorothy Ridgway {seal} [???] B Cannon.
