Know all men by these presents, that Sanders M Huyck and Sally Huyck – as principal, and Henry Huyck and William Huyck -------as sureties,
are held and firmly bound unto the State of Ohio, in the sum of one thousand Dollars, well and truly to be paid unto said State; for the true and faithful payment whereof, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors, and administrators, and each and every of them jointly and severally, firmly by these presents. Sealed with our seals, and dated at Norwalk, this 10th day of June A.D. 1845 The Condition of the above Obligation is such: That if the above named Sanders M. Huyck and Sally Huyck ------- shall discharge with fidelity the duties of Administrators upon the Estate of Richard T. Huyck deceased, according to law, and observe the conditions following, viz: First ~~ To make and return into Court, an oath, within three months, a true Inventory of all the moneys, goods, chattels, rights, and credits of the deceased, which have or shall come to their possession or knowledge; and also, if required by the Court, an Inventory of the Real Estate of the deceased: Secondly ~~ To administer, according to law, all the moneys, goods, chattels, rights, and credits of the deceased, and the proceeds of all his Real Estate, that may be sold for the payment of his debts, which shall at any time come to the possession of the Administrators or to the possession of any other person for them. Thirdly ~~ To render, upon oath, a true account of their Administration, within eighteen months, and at any other times, when required by the Court, or the law: Fourthly ~~ To pay any balance remaining in their hands, upon the settlement of their accounts, to such persons as the Court or the law directs; and, Fifthly ~~ To deliver the Letters of Administration into Court, in case any Will of the deceased shall be thereafter duly proved and allowed; then the above obligation to be void; otherwise to remain in full force and virtue in law. Huyck dec’d do make oath and Say that the foregoing is a true inventory of the Estate of said deceased is in all respects just and true that it Contains a true statement of all the Estate & Property of the deceased which has come to the knowledge of said Administrator & particularly of all money, banks bills or other cuculating medium belonging to the deceased against Said Administrator or other persons according to the best of his knowledge Sanders M Huyck Subscribed & Sworn before me this 14th day of October AD 1845 H. The deceased having left a widow and minor children we set off to them the following property without appraising the same. 1 Spinning wheel 1 parlor stove, 1 family Bible the school books of the family, 1 cow 12 sheep & about 15 pounds wool shorn from them 3 beds bed steads and bedding, the pots Kettles and other cooking utensils of the deceased (being neccasary for the family) the clothing and wearing apparel of the family and of the deceased 1 table six chairs 6 knives and forks six plates 6 teacups & saucers one sugar dish 1 milk pot one teapot & twelve spoons the clothes wearing apparel and ornaments of the widow We the appraisers do certify that we have considered four hundred and fifty dollars necessary for the support of the widow and four minor children twelve months from the death of decedant and that the account of all the personal property set off for said support being one hundred and seventy six dollars and twenty seven cents and two hundred and seventy three dollars and seventy three cents more is necessary for said support.
